PEKENG AMBUSH NG TAMBALANG PANGULONG MARCOS AT SECRETARY ENRILE, MAY SCRIPT AT PA-DIARY PA, PARA MA-DEKLARA ANG MARTIAL LAW

Nangumpisal si Juan Ponce Enrile noong EDSA People Power sa isang press conference, na inutusan siya na mag-maniobra ng isang pekeng pang-aambush sa kanya, para makapag-deklara si Marcos ng Martial Law noong 1972. Si Enrile ang dating Defense Secretary ni Marcos. Ito ang kwento ng mga mamamahayag:
“Enrile also revealed for the first time that the assassination attempt on him on the eve of martial law in 1972 was a set-up to justify it. “THIS IS AN ACT OF CONTRITION, TO ATONE. HAD I KNOWN THAT IT WOULD BE USED TO REPRESS OUR PEOPLE, I WOULD NOT HAVE AGREED. It was to be for a noble purpose — to stabilise a situation in our land. But later it was corrupted. We do not have real democracy here. It’s a democracy of manufactured votes” – reported by Antonio Lopez, Lisa Beyer and Luningning Salazar, Asiaweek, March 9, 1986.
““God saved him,” Enrile’s wife, Christina, told an American official at the time. But God had had nothing to do with it. Marcos and Enrile had staged the “ambush,” as the final justification for Martial Law. At 9:00 p.m. the order implementing Martial Law was signed. – Raymond Bonner, Waltzing With A Dictator
Ginamit po ito ni Marcos upang ilagay sa diary niya ang dahilan ng pagdedeklara ng Martial Law. Ito po ang nakasulat sa diary niya:
“Sec. Juan Ponce Enrile was ambushed near Wack-Wack at 8:00 pm tonight… This makes the martial law proclamation a necessity… It’s all over the radio.”
Sabi po ni Primitivo Mijares, ang tumiwalag na dating kanang kamay ni Marcos sa media, ito daw ang sinabi ni Marcos kay Enrile sa telepono:
“Make it look good. Kailangan siguro ay may masaktan o may mapatay ay mas mabuti. Enrile: I never told him that I faked my ambush. I said that the ambush was staged. But I did not say who staged it.

Karen: Okay. Now, what were your findings? Do you believe that Enrile’s ambush was faked? Someone faked it? Did he fake it? Because the book is very controversial on the ambush.
Montaño: It was fake.
Karen: Who faked it?
Montaño: I don’t know who fake it.
Karen: But the ambush was fake.
Montaño: But the ambush was fake. Because when we arrive at the scene of the crime, or the reported crime, I found out that the, the bullet holes were all neatly aligned.
Karen: Are you serious? In the car. In all the bullet holes of Enrile ambush are all straight?
Montaño: Yes. Neatly aligned… I have done so many investigations in my life. I would have so long stayed in the criminal investigation these days. And I know at first glance, I know which is fake and which is not fake.

Montaño: I’m just disgusted with the way they have distorted history. I’m not concerned about our generation or the other generation who participated here. But I’m more concerned with the younger generation who does not know anything about this, who did not feel our feelings when we revolted against the Marcos Government, we put ourselves in on line and now in their ambition for power, we were forced to order our soldiers to shoot a female soldier and blood is in our hands.

Grabe, ano po? From start to finish, napakaraming pamemeke ang isinubo sa atin ni Pangulong Marcos kasama na si Enrile, upang higpitan nila ang kamay na bakal ng patayan, nakawan at kasinungalingan na nagpahirap sa atin. Ang masasamang epekto nito ay bitbit pa rin natin hanggang ngayon.
