BAKA INSTEAD OF TWISTING ROMANS 13:1-2 AY ITO LANG NAMAN PALA ANG GUSTONG SABIHIN NG SOME CHURCH LEADERS:
By Maria Lourdes Sereno
1. Huwag sumama sa mga New People’s Army at Communist Party of the Philippines. – Hindi po mahirap iyang sabihin kung bibigyan ninyo rin po ng equipping ang young people niyo on how to fight against injustice in a Christian way;
2. Do everything in an orderly, loving and gentle manner. – Marami pong paraan gawin iyan, sa Bible mismo, ang rebuke done in sincerity is considered as an act of love (Open rebuke is better than secret love. -Proverbs 27:5).
3. Don’t neglect going to church and fellowshipping. – If we avoid discussing what pains our young people, they will be tempted to seek other groups that are open to discussing social, political and emotional issues, in a sense ay naitulak silang maghanap ng ibang kausap.
If it’s just peaceful and orderly lives we want to promote in our churches, you don’t need to use Romans 13:1-2. Hindi po iyan sledgehammer o pang-bardigol para gawing masunurin na kagaya ng robot ang ating mga miyembro.
