Ang mga guro ang naghuhubog ng mga henerasyon ng mga mamumuno sa bansa. Kung malakas ang katotohanan sa buhay at pananalita nila, may pag-asa ang bayan natin.

Alam nating lahat na kailangang kailangan ngayon ng bayani sa Pilipinas. Naririto na tayo sa punto na ang ilan nating mga kabataan ay nagsisimula nang hindi mahiya na sabihing ayaw na nilang maging Pinoy; at kung meron lang oportunidad, tatakas na daw sila sa bayang ito at tatalikuran ang kanilang identity. Kay tagal nating pinaghirapan na ipagmalaki ang sarili natin sa mundo bilang mga Pilipino. First class brains and talent, at world class creativity and personality. Ngunit, totoo nga bang dumating na tayo sa pagkakalugmok sa kawalan ng pag-asa? Maibabalik pa ba natin ang ating tiwala sa sarili? Sukdulan na nga ba nating binigo ang ating mga kabataan?

We all know that our country badly needs heroes. We had worked long and arduously to be proud of who we are as a people – first class brains and talent; first world creativity and personality. Yet, we have reached the point at which some of our youth are unashamedly announcing that they no longer want to be Filipino, and, given the chance, would escape this country and turn their backs to that identity. How have we come to this depth of hopelessness? Have we dismally failed the expectations of our young people?
